During an experimental documentary class at the the FH Vorarlberg, our Prof. Hubert Matt encourages us to explore new ways to challenge ourselves. And that’s how I stumbled upon a boxing club in my neighborhood.

Dumb? Narcissistic? Aggressive? The public perception of boxing can be very one-sides. I admittedly knew very little about the sport. Nevertheless, or precisely because I wasn’t the prototype of a boxing champ, I joined the Dornbirn boxing club in Haselstauden for one month to discover what it meant to be a boxer and to know the feeling that only a boxer can feel in the ring. Throw some punches, get punched….From a boxing champion…. Ouch!
