AUDIOVISUAL MEDIA CENTER
RWTH Aachen
five years media designer at the medical faculty
e-learning — video — web design — animation
Upon finishing my bachelor degree I was faced with a new challenge. Three weeks into my full time job at AVMZ (Audiovisual Media Centre) I was asked to film the procedure of the wisdom tooth surgery. That was challenging but there was more to come. In the five years I was on set filming anything from birth, tumour reductions to cadaver preparations.
The main purpose of our department was to come up with e-learning concepts supplied to the medical students of our faculty. There were many diverse tasks which I was a part of. These included videos (image- and educational videos), 2D animations, e-learning applications as well as the possibility to develop and lead workshops. In total I produced around 130 videos, 18 e-learning applications and led about 10 workshops. We are not allowed to share the content of the surgery however below you will find several still images taken for various projects at the RWTH.
